Marietta Kontarini is an MPH-Veterinarian, Microbiological Food Analyst and studies Food Safety, Zoonoses, Foodborne diseases and HACCP at National School of Public Health. She specialized as Microbiological Food analyst (2010-2011). HACCP-trainer (2001-2002), Veterinarian 1979-1986, at Veterinary School of Aristotelian University, Thessaloniki, Greece, and Ms in Veterinary Public Health 1987-1988 at National School of Public Health, Athens.
Her work experience was gained by teaching Food safety, foodborne diseases and zoonoses as scientific assistant at National School of Public Health in Postgraduate Education Programs in Veterinary Public Health Department, since April 1990. She also worked as Director of Inspections and Education at Hellenic Food Authority (30/10/2000 -31/08/2003), gaining great experience in coordinating and directing the inspections at all stages of food production, as well as in training auditors and food handlers and other involved professionalists.
She also worked as a food analyst at Central Laboratory of Public Health, Ministry of Health, Athens, practicing Food and Water microbiological tests.
Furthermore, she worked as consultant at General Secretarial of Hellenic Ministry of Health (2013-2015).
She is a member of Greek team in EU-JAMRAI and has participated in relative workshops, assemblies, etc.
